....Hi There!.....
Hello, ladies!
I'm SO thrilled to have you on board for my first CT. I am completely amazed at how talented and creative each of you are, and I am so blessed to get to work with you all. I know we all have super-busy lives, and I don't want to take up a lot of your time, but if you'd like to know a little about me, here's my own little introduction. If you have time, please let us know a little about you as well. I'm looking forward to getting to know you all!
I am a 34 year-old WAHM with three awesome kids (Kaylee 15, Adam 12, & Malorie 10) and I've been married to my best friend, Ryan, for the last 16 years. We live in northern Utah where Ryan is from. I grew up in Florida (where we met) and moved to Utah shortly after getting married. All of my family is back home, and it's hard adapting sometimes, even after all these years. I get homesick a lot, esp. in the winter!
I've been a 'crafty' chick for as long as I can remember, mostly because I was very lucky to be able to stay home to tend my little ones, but I needed something to keep me sane, LOL! I found scrapbooking after my first little one was born, so scrapbooking and me go WAAAAAY back. I paper scrapped to an obsessive degree for almost ten years, funding my supply hoarding addiction by working in retail scrapbook shops, boutiques and teaching classes. But when I found digital scrapbooking, that all changed! I've always loved computers and combining it with scrapbooking seemed like magic. I taught myself PSE, and eventually CS2, and ended up designing at Little Dreamer Designs after winning a design spot from their Apprentice Contest in 2008.
Even though I've technically been designing since 2008, I've struggled to maintain consistency, mostly because jumping into the design world without a clue how to proceed is overwhelming, to say the least. Not to mention, it was hard trying to keep up with SO many other amazing designers, esp. when I was struggling to learn Photoshop myself. However, when LDD closed and I was offered a spot at CatScrap, I decided to make a fresh start and become committed to learning how to do this right.
I've revamped my brand, am slowly overcoming my aversion to social media, LOL, and I'm finally feeling like I'm getting myself and my products out there. With that said, I am very much still learning. This is my first CT and I'm sort of learning as I go. For those of you that have been or are currently on other CTs and are very familiar with the status quo in running a CT, forgive me for my lack of know-how, and feel free to let me know if there's anything amiss with how I'm running things. I value your input SO much!
Outside of designing, I like cooking and trying out new recipes or doing home improvement and decor projects. My DH and I have a pact--he hates fixing things or anything power tool related, but I LOVE it. However, he enjoys doing dishes and laundry (thanks to his Dutch momma who literally scrubs her cement porch with bleach weekly-yeah.) and I HATE housework. So, it's a more than fair trade!
I also love books--reading and writing them! If I'm not designing, then I'm usually staying up WAY too late writing. I'm actually trying to get a supernatural romance novel series I've written published--and I thought designing was overwhelming, LOL! Talk about scary! If any of you are avid readers, and are on Goodreads, look me up. I'd love to peek at your virtual bookshelves! And while you're at it, if your a Pinhead like me, I'd love to follow you on Pinterest. That place should change it's name to "How to Waste Two Hours Crazy Fast". LOL!
Anything else to know about me? Oh, I am a lover of sarcasm, and have been told I have a crazy sense of humor. So while I might come across as organized and all business-like, that's just my perfectionism running amuck. I'm really just goofy and down-to-earth.
That's about it for me. What about you?? Do tell!

Re: ....Hi There!.....
Hi Lisa...thanks for having me! So nice to read about you:)
Ummm, about me.. I'm Patti and live in Alberta, Canada. I met my husband online in 2003 and a few months later, packed up my kids and moved to western Canada to be with him. We married Valentine's Day, 2005. I'm Mom to Josh 13 and Jared 10... I have two purebred Labrador Retrievers, Rowan and Bentley. I'm a preschool teacher by day.. and at night, I'm home with my family, scrappin', watching tv, reading or possibly, napping... I love naps! LOL!!
I began digi scrappin' in March of 2010. If only I'd started earlier, I wouldn't have 60 plus boxes of paper supplies downstairs collecting dust..lol!! I haven't paper scrapped since June 2010.. pathetic, I do have to purge and get rid of it. Digi, is def. my love now, I will never go back:) I love layers, stacking and elements! Full kits are my FAV's and make me giddy!!
I love to read - Vampire, Mystery Suspense are my favourites. I'm Team Edward and Team Eric! Just thought I'd share that! LOL!! My favourite number is 7 and my favourite letter, is J!
I'm funny and very sarcastic... ppl don't get me sometimes.. lol!! I love a good joke and laugh hysterically at myself sometimes! I'm sassy and quirky, a good 'round' package, in more ways than one..lol!!
I don't like pastels... I'm really not 'overly girlie'.... Tomboy, is more accurate! I don't own one single dress and in fact got married in jeans:) lol!
Ummm, I've probably bored you all to death.. looking forward to working with you all.
p.s. Lisa, I added you on goodreads.com - chicka:) P.s. ... oh I can't wait to read your book. I 've been told before that I should try my hand at writing... I may have to look to you for some tips:)

Re: ....Hi There!.....
Hi Lisa and Patti! I'm so excited to be on the team and to get to know you!! So sorry for my unreasonably long intro to me...
A bit about me...
Here's a tidbit, Mandalue is my username in digiland and has been my nickname forever...but my middle name is not Lue, it's actually Starr. I usually go by Mandie in the real world! And Lisa, I actually lived in Utah until I was 9 and have a lot of family in the SLC area! Patti, I love Canada! My husband and I spent our 2 week honeymoon in St. John's New Brunswick - ok so I know it's totally in a different area than where you're at but I had to share! LOL!
So I am a 30 year old stay at home mom to a 6 month old boy (Jesse). I've been married for 3 years now to my best friend - he's amazing and I'm so blessed!! We've known each other since I was 10 and he was 9!! We have lizards for pets, Marley - a 2.5 foot long, 3 year old Colombian Tegu, and Saphira - a year old Bearded Dragon. Yeah we love reptiles!
Before my married life I lived in Southern California and had big dreams to become and elementary school teacher. I put myself through college by working at Nike full time. I loved to scrap but had very little time and very little room to bust out all of my paper junk! I think I was actually more of a collector than an actual scrapper! I finally finished school which felt like forever!! My soon to be husband and I reconnected after about 7 years while he was on leave from the Army. A year later we started dating - long distance as he deployed once again to Afghanistan. We got engaged over the phone and planned our wedding while he was deployed!! It was crazy! My husband barely made it out of the Army in time to arrive at our wedding at the Flamingo in Las Vegas!!
During the time that we were dating, I got my first job as a teacher, teaching 5th grade. I loved it, but it was super stressful and took all of my time and energy. My second year of teaching was with 4th graders. I had 39 students in my class (with no aides)!! Most of my students were second language learners and about 5 were students who had learning disabilities (ADD, ADHD, etc.). I literally spent every free moment grading and prepping for that class! Well, if you know anything about Southern California, then you probably know that being a teacher in that state is not the most stable job! I, along with 160 other teachers in the district were laid off. My boss told me that I'd likely get hired back before the next school year began but that it would probably be a reoccurring thing each year. My husband and I considered our options and decided that we'd have better opportunities in Alaska. Sounds crazy, I know, but my parents had lived there for about 10 years and offered to help us out.
We've lived in Anchorage, Alaska for 2 years now and love it here!! I would never move back to California! I was going to school for my Master's of Special Education and my Special Ed teaching enforcement. However, I decided to take a couple semesters off after I had my son (I have no idea how mommies are able to have their baby in the middle of a semester!!) At this point I'm enjoying being a stay at home mom so much I just don't know exactly when I'll be back in the classroom!
Sorry for all my personal info....blah, blah, blah...back to scrapping...
I got into digital scrapbooking in 2010 when I my husband got me Creative Memories Storybook Creator 3.0. I fell in love with digital scrapbooking instantly!! I could scrap any time and anywhere and not have to deal with a huge mess, or even commit to pasting a picture in a particular spot Plus there were so many free kits available online that I hardly ever had to buy anything to get myself started!! I've scrapbooked more in a year and a half than I have the whole 12-13 years I've been a paper scrapper!! I still use the CM software and can do just about everything that other programs can. I love it because it's so user friendly...ok...I guess I'll stop yammering...
anyways, I'm really looking forward to getting to work with you all!!

It's me!
Greetings from Putnam County, New York!!!
I think it's kinda' awesome how spread out we all are! Ok.. so about me.. hmmmm...
When I was in the second grade I didn't do any homework for a full nine weeks and got the spanking of a lifetime.. No? I mean wrong story, right? Yeah.. ok.. so..
*waves* My name is Leah Riordan! I am a 30 year old (heck yeah I'm 30!!!! Sorry I got way excited because to me 30 = official adult status.. and I get all cartman.. "whatevah, whatevah, I do what I want" ) I'm married again to my husband Christopher. He is 34. Together we have a beautiful crazy kid named Caitlyn. She is AMAZING.. super funny and just exactly what I would expect from two super=geek parents *cue in super freak song and just put geek there instead* My husband and I have been married for either 9 years or 7 months.. depending on which story you want to keep. Heh.. ok, so basically we were married for 7 years.. we ended up divorcing.. and then got remarried February of this year. (and honestly the February wedding was totally redneck... I'll have to scrap that story sometime.. "My Redneck Wedding") The first time we were married in the Memphis TN Temple.. that was a lot prettier (We are Mormonites). We also have two cats.. a dog.. and a bunny in the household. Hm.. that sounds weird. I should explain. Basically with the economy in the state it is in we decided (my in laws and ourselves) to combine our incomes and live more comfortably than we could apart. I am *super* lucky that my in laws are AWESOME! (seriously my in laws are WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more awesome than my family.. they are practically normal.. which I can't say about my side of the family - which is crazy.. certifiable.. not even kidding)
Anyway my husband is from New York and I'm originally from Mississippi. We live here in New York and I absolutely LOVE it!!! I think I was meant to live in the north all along! *thinks* Oh.. I'm half Puerto Rican.. but I am the whitest have-breed you will evr meet.. seriously. I don't tan... at all. I burn.. and my siblings used to call me Powder. (You remember that movie, right?)
In my digi-life I am generally known as that "mommyish lady" I create CU products! I also make freebies because I just can't help myself.
OH My husband and I are currently TTC #2.. except I am infertile. So... yeah. My body doesn't produce progesterone.. and apparently I have Uterine Polyps that are going to be "scraped out" (literally the doctor said that) November 15th. So.. basically I am a hormonal mess..
Anyway holy cow I went on for far too long. Yeah.. I'll be the resident crazy person! I look forward to getting to know you all better!

Re: ....Hi There!.....
LOL, you girls are great!
Patti, it's so fun to see you here! I miss so many of the girls at MScraps....and you are definitely one of them! I'm totally with you about the no-pastel thing....I rarely use pastels, cause they're so boring! Give me a bright turquiose or a distressed gray anyday, and I'm good! I'm also not too girly myself (save for my inner '80s girl who is shamelessly obsessed with rainbow colors--sorry in advance!) But I hate dresses and would have worn jeans and my Croc flip flops (the only shoes God intended for mankind to wear) to my wedding if I could have, LOL!
Amanda, I totally hear you about the teaching gig. My mom has been a 1st and 2nd grade teacher for almost 20 years now, and it is definitely a thankless profession. She's in Florida, and they have the dumbest idiots passing legislation regarding education, esp. teacher pay. The latest is they want to pay teachers based on their students test scores--which to an idiot I suppose would be a brilliant way to gauge whether a teacher is 'doing their job'. But they don't stop to take into account that not all students or classes are created equal. You can be an excellent teacher, and have a classroom full of students with a vast scope of disabilities, learning or otherwise, that result in low test scores. I told my mom teachers in Florida should start a petition to start paying politicians based on Florida's economy and overall voter approval rating of how well THEY'RE doing. I think they'd shut up real fast, LOL! I think it's so cool you use Creative Memories Software! While I never could get into their stark take on paper scrapping, they always have had really good tools, and your layouts are proof that their software is the same. And I would love to live in Alaska! While I'm not a super big fan of snow, what I miss most living in Utah is TREES! And green! I could totally do snow WITH trees, LOL!
Leah, you crack me up! And I would have never guessed you were Puerto Rican! (I totally remember Powder, LOL!) My DH is half Dutch/ half Hispanic, but our kids think he looks Chinese, and he's been asked many times if he's Native American. His mom is like Swiss Miss and his dad looks almost exactly like Ponch from Chips (he was even a cop in the seventies--and had Eric Estrada hair and a gleaming smile, LOL) So it's an interesting combination. I'm always a sucker for overcoming the odds when it comes to love, and I think it's so cool you and your DH remarried. I can almost relate, as my DH and I went through a rough patch a while back, but instead of divorcing we sorta just checked out and co-existed. But we reconnected a couple years ago, and it's like we have a new lease on our marriage. I don't know which number to tell people when they ask how long we've been together either, LOL!
Awesome to learn more about you girls!! Now, I need to stop socializing and get some work done. Hopefully we'll hear from the others soon!

Re: ....Hi There!.....
Well, omgosh, Patti!!! Who would have thought we would end up at the same place together, right? LOL!
Hi everyone! My name is Erika and I am a SAHM. I live in North Carolina with my wonderful hubby of 5 years. We have been together 9 years now. I have 2 amazing boys. Noah is 10 years old and he is my serious child. He is in the 5th grade and he is uber smart! Gavin is 4 1/2 and he is my funny, sunny little monkey. Gavin has developmental delays so he goes to speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy twice a week. He is amazing and he is changing so rapidly. I am like the proudest Mom ever and I talk about my kids all.the.time!
I started digiscrapping in 2009 and man, was I bad...lol. I have been learning along the way and I finally have gotten into a groove and I love to scrap now. I really love to scrap pages of the little things, too, because the little things mean the most in life.
That is pretty much me in a nutshell. If you want to know anything else don't hesitate to ask me.

Re: ....Hi There!.....
I'm so excited to be here and be part of this team! I recognize some of you from around digiland! I know Patti from Scrap Orchard, when I was on the team there, and I am a HUGE fan of her work!
My name is Ramona, I used to design under the name Ramona the Pest, but retired earlier this year. I also owned a digisite and sold it at the same time I retired.
In my personal life, I am married to my best friend-we've been married for 16 years this December. We have 6 kids together-Crazy! Our 4th child, Sam is special needs and has taught us so much. He also keeps us very busy!! My oldest is Chipper, 14-then Mitchell, 12-Abby, 10-Sam, 7-Olivia, 5-Noah,2. You will see them a lot in my layouts! We live in Orem Utah, just south of SLC. We have been here for 3 years and this is close to where my hubby grew up. I am from southern Nevada-close to Vegas and we lived there for 12 years.
I started scrapping when my oldest was born. I actually remember cutting out graphics from the wrapping paper of my shower gifts to glue on my pages. I cringe at the thought then! Hopefully, I've come a bit farther! LOL!! When I was pregnant with my 5 year old, I was active at ivillage and learned how to make siggy's. From there I branched into my own scrapbook pages. I started officially designing early in 2008 and then opened my own store in September of that year. I love digital and I love the community it has created! Some of my dearest friends are ones I've met through digiland! We even have a group of 4 ladies-we all met online-and we live close and get together monthly for a mom's night out! It's very fun!
Currently, I am on several CT's and I started a new blog in October for template type freebies. I am an avid blogger and I enjoying creating freebies!
I think that is about it! I hope I haven't bored you all too much! I am excited to be on this team-everyone seems so friendly and fun!!

Re: ....Hi There!.....
Hey everybody!!!
So thrilled to be here!!!
A little 'bout myself..
Well at the moment high preggers reaching the 37 weeks. I have a gorgeous but also very nifty daughter of 3 yrs old, Kate. Some might have read or seen evidence on my FB page LOL
I'm british, but have lived in the states (ILL and NY) and have been living in the Netherlands for over 16yrs. I am also married to a dutch guy, Paul, the love of my life, my soulmate etcetc *wink* We have been together now for almost 11 yrs, married for 4. Me myself is almost 29yrs old, coming February.
I have been creative my entire life. I love the use of computers too. Played many many role playing games and such on them. But they have gone off track as I was introduced to digital scrapbooking shortly after Kate was born. So I have been scrapping since nov. 2008. All the scrapbooking stuff I was gathering is now gathering dust *oops* I have many styles to scrapping. I love a nice clustering but think I am getting the hang of clean and simple too. I just try to go with the flow/kit/photo and get my groove on. A scenery page is great too! Heavy layering and clustering I haven't quite found the trick to that yet *bows to Patti*
I also love to read, knit and crosstitch. And also ride my motorbike when I have time. I love a good tv series, like Grey's, Vampire Diaries etc etc.
I'm caring and sweet, heard that I care a little too much for others and need to spend more time on me. Nope, no can do hahaha. I try to enjoy life by the day and take what comes my way as a needed lesson to learn in life. I can be quite stubborn and the actions that Kate makes.. well she doesn't get them from a stranger *blush*
Last year has been a rough year for us as after making the choice for going for sprout number 2 I miscarried 5 times before junior (yes it's gonna be a boy!) decided to stick around with us. I will be glad when I hold him in my arms but sad to see it all over as well as it has gone by so fast.
Uhmmm oh yeah I also have 2 hearing aids, since I was 8. So I guess that's why my motto is take life as it comes, lessons to be learned. I have had my share in life and it has created me to who I am today and I am still around and alive and stuff LOL
Pfff dunno what else to blab on about myself.. if you have an idea just ask and I will answer hihihi
I am not shocked at all to see PATTI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! heya lovely chica!!!
Waving hi to Mandie, Romona, Erika and Leah!! I don't believe I know you gals yet?
Leah I lived in Hopewell Jct, NY for a few years, I believe that is Poughkeepsie or Fishkill or was it Wappingers Falls?? pff one of them anyhow, is taht close to Putnam? Missing the fall there badly!!! And sorry to hear about the hormonal mess Are you on Utrogestan for the Progesterone?
I might not be around a lot the upcoming month as my due date is the 11th of Nov. but I will try my best. can't do without digiscrapping hahaha
I am happy to be here and hope I do Lisa's awesomeness creations justice! Looking foward to getting to know you all better as well!!
Now kicking my bum to bed as it is almost 3am here *blush*

Re: ....Hi There!.....
Hey hey ladies!! I am sooo excited to be here...thank you Lisa!!
I recognize quite a few ladies too I actually had my intro typed out on my iPhone while I was at work this morning and somehow I lost it.
A little about me...I am Tronesia, 27 years old from Birmingham, Alabama. I have one daughter, Miss Aida who is 3 years old. Most times she is playing games or watching Netflix on my phone (or getting into things she should not)....she is already a mirror image of her parents..lol!! Her dad and I have been together for 5 years; we are not married....he is the person I am closest to... I know I can always talk to him, no matter what it is about. Most days we are all just sitting around the house on our computers or watching TV or just being silly. I work full time at a health insurance company (fixing all the claims that people say didn't pay correctly). Not glamorous but it definitely pays the bills and allows us to buy a few gadgets.
I found out about scrapbooking when I was pregnant with my daughter. I was a part of the BabyCenter forums...all the ladies had these neat siggies and I wanted to learn how to make one. I stumbled upon a few freebies and by the time my daughters was a month old I started a paper scrapbook and eventually decided to try it out on the computer. Scrapping is my "happy place" where I escape the world. I have learned so much since I started (still am) and met some great ladies. I also spend a lot of times on Clickin' Moms (photography forum)...that's my other love inspired by scrapping. I think that's about it. I am pretty much an open book....mostly quiet....and definitely pretty nerdy and sometimes awkward..lol!!
It's been great reading about everyone..looks like we'll all have a great time here

Re: ....Hi There!.....
It's so great to see everyone here!
Erika, you are such a sweet momma! I'm sure it's not easy raising a child with special needs and I absolutely admire those that do, and do so with enthusiasm. And it's cool you're in North Carolina...one of my DH's buddy from the Navy lives there! I miss the East Coast! *sigh*
You amaze me, Ramona, with all you do--and with 6 kiddos!! And if I remember correctly, you have a child with autism? You truly are my hero! It's good that you've got your time away and good friends to keep you sane. And you're down in Orem--only an hour drive away. If I'm ever down that way, we should get together!
So great to see you here, Helen! I love that you've lived all over...what an adventure! I've never even left the country, LOL! I can't wait to see LOs with your cute lil' girlie..she's adorable! I'm SO sad to hear your struggles with miscarriages. I had a miscarriage a couple months after I got married (and I was so young, it was hard to handle!) My SIL just had two this year and it's really been hard. But I'm thrilled everything's going well for you with your pregnancy--and I hope you're getting lots of rest...that ninth month is a doozie! Hang in there, sweetie!
And don't you just hate it when you lose stuff you've typed on your phone, Tronesia?? But so glad you're here! You described my family perfectly, LOL! We're all nerds and geeks and usually plugged in to something. When the power goes out, we seriously panic around here....sad, but true, LOL!
It's so nice to get to know everyone better...I think I lucked out and got the best group of girls!!

Re: ....Hi There!.....
Hi everyone
My name is Arianna. {Please call me Ari though!} I've been married for two years to a really great guy that drives me crazy and holds me together all at once. We don't have kids yet, but we're not rushing it. My mom still thinks we're babies {both 21}. So, we're in no rush right now. I'm in school right now studying criminal justice. I also work part time at K-Mart, just to make some extra money!
I started scrapping a few months before I got engaged. When I got engaged I took a break to plan my wedding and figure out my life. After we got married we lived with our parents for quite sometime and just this year have we finally been able to move out on our own. I love our little cozy house. When I'm not scrapping, I'm cooking, reading, studying or working. Despite my age, I'm not quite the party girl.
Everyone here seems so friendly! I enjoyed reading about ya'll and can't wait to get to know you all better!

Re: ....Hi There!.....
i'm always the last one to do the intro thing... i never know how much is enough or too much, kwim?! lol
soooo... a bit about me. i just turned 40 *gulp* and have spent the last 19 years hangin' out with my beloved sweetheart Patrick. i'm a mixed media artist by trade and used to own a quilt shop. before having kids the hubs and i both owned our own businesses and had totally busy, crazy schedules. so when Henry was a year old we decided to sell them in order to slow our lives down a bit and made our way from the west coast to the east coast. we've moved 10 times over the years and have lived all over the US... including : CO, WY, WA, OR, VA, ID, NV, PA. and now that our house in Pittsburgh has finally sold (it took nearly a year!) we're preparing to have our house hold goods shipped down to South Carolina - where we've been living in temporary housing for the past year and a half - Ugh! thankfully everything has worked out beautifully and we've been lucky enough to find a lovely house where we feel like we were fated to raise our family. i'm so excited to settle in and make this new house our home.
i adore being a SAHM to my three wonderful boys - Henry 5, Flynn 2 and Gareth 12 weeks. I've been digi scrapping for about a year and half, although I recently took about 6 months off to prepare for the new baby. i've never paper scrapped but like most of you have always been into most things artsy/crafty. i absolutely love to digi scrap and am so happy to be getting back into the creative swing of things. am thrilled to have been chosen for this wonderful team and love seeing so many familiar faces ♥

Yay! Another familiar face! How exciting to have your house sold and your new adventure in SC can fully begin! We've moved a lot too, but only between 2 states. I think I'd rather have the excitement of lots of different states!

Lisa, thank you for your sweet comment! You are such a sweetie! It is hard having a little one with developmental delays and then, my oldest has ADHD and ODD. Some days are really hard, but you know what I love my boys and I just want what is best for them. I love being a Mom. I am sure you couldn't already tell that. LOL! Lisa, I love NC, but we live near the mountains now and I don't really care for it here. I love the coast and the beach. I am going to live close to the beach again one of these days...
